Stonebridge Cross

The Stonebridge Cross project, although not directly funded by the SIA, will play a very important role in the regeneration of the area by creating a new district centre for the residential communities near to the A580.

27,000 sq m of new commercial floorspace, 1,000 jobs and 300 new homes will eventually be created on 19 hectares of reclaimed land.

The scheme will include a superstore plus hotel and leisure facilities, a five-a-side football complex, community facilities and a mixed-tenure housing scheme.

All these will be set within a linear park created around the River Alt with the site also being served by the new Merseytram.
