Stonebridge Park will be created on the former GEC and Sugarbrook sites on the A580 East Lancashire Road.
The 15-hectare scheme, which will house 360,000 sq m of serviced development plots for office and light industrial use, could create up to 1,500 new jobs in a park-style business environment that will include extensive landscaping and water features including the River Alt that runs through the site.
St Modwen JV Key Property have been appointed as the preferred developers of the project which will also see the adjoining Gillmoss Industrial Estate upgraded and integrated into the scheme.
The operations and maintenance centre for the proposed Merseytram will also be based at Stonebridge Park. |
